Changelog & migration

Where releases are published and how settings carry forward across upgrades.

Releases

Versioned releases, with notes and checksums, are published on the releases page, and the longer story behind each one shows up on the blog. The releases data feeds both the download page and the release timeline, so the versions you see there are the ones you can install.

Bedrova is pre-launch. Release notes fill in as builds ship; until the first public release the timeline shows what’s planned rather than a download.

How updates reach you

  • App updates arrive through Sparkle on the channel you choose (Settings → General), with signed update feeds. They’re disclosed in Network calls.
  • Runtime packs update independently of the app and can be pinned or rolled back. See Runtime & engines.

You can hold one and move the other — a runtime-pack update never forces an app update, or the reverse.

Settings migration

When you upgrade, Bedrova migrates your settings so they carry forward intact. Settings exported from an older version are brought up to date when you import them. If a setting is renamed or replaced, the migration maps the old value to the new one rather than dropping it.

If a new runtime pack changes how a model behaves and you’d rather not adopt it yet, pin the previous pack (Settings → Runtime) until you’re ready.
